The Benefits Of Using Face Masks In Skincare

If you’ve never used a face mask before as part of your skincare routine, then you really are in for a bit of a treat! Not only do they work wonders for your skin but they also give you a bit of much-needed time to yourself, while you sit and wait for them to work their magic.

There are all sorts of different ones out there to suit a range of different skin complaints, so it’s worth sitting down to have a think about what you want to achieve, whether that’s minimising your pores, giving yourself a hydration boost or trying to clear acne and other blemishes.


If you want to draw out any impurities in your skin and help with exfoliation, a clay mask may be the way to go, as these will work their way deep down into the skin, reaching areas you simply can’t with a daily cleanser. Your skin will be left feeling thoroughly refreshed and a lot brighter.


There are also masks you can leave on overnight, which are a great option if you’re always on the go and don’t think you’ll have time to sit down for 15 minutes three times a week to put your mask on. Simply apply it before you go to bed and then rinse off in the morning, revealing beautiful skin underneath. It couldn’t be simpler!


Before you use your mask, make sure you cleanse your skin properly first, getting rid of all traces of makeup. Then either use a brush or your fingers to apply the product, really focusing on problem areas and places that are easily missed, like the sides of your nose and beneath your jaw line. Make sure you avoid your delicate eye area, however.
